More updates from CeraSport sponsored Kelly Benefits Strategies cycling team.

June 22, 2015

"It's been a busy few weeks since my last update to you about the team, but also a great few weeks with us taking another 4 victories! We are now up to 10 wins in 2015, with 5 different riders each earning a trip to the top step of the podium.
Following our win at Battenkill, we reconvened at the Page County Stage Race in Luray, VA. This is a nice 2-day, 3-stage race with a long RR, short, rolling TT, and then a crit on a very hard hill, giving us chances to show all of our strengths. We started the weekend well in the road race, with Ben Fogle taking 2nd behind Jake King (Ben King's younger brother) in the field sprint, with Ben Frederick in 4th.
Sunday morning dawned with the time trial, where Jacob Trebmblay barely nipped Bryan Lewis for the win, with Andrew Seitz, Frederick, and Chris Jones rounding out the top 10 in 4th, 6th, and 9th respectively. This left us with a plethora of options for winning the overall GC in that afternoon's crit.
In the crit, Chris got things started with a solo attack in the first few laps. Once he was reeled back in, Bryan took off like a bandit. With his teammates covering every move from the field and neutralizing the chase (see attached pics!) Bryan eventually rolled out to a ~40" gap that he held to win solo. In the closing laps, Frederick made it into a small breakaway and would go on to sprint to 2nd, while Fogle won the field sprint for 5th place and Dakota Schaeffer took 9th.
This dominant ride in the crit gave us 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th overall GC, with Bryan, Frederick, Fogle, and Andy.
The following weekend was something of an open wknd for the team so that guys could take a break from travel and rest or train as needed. Chris and Jacob took advantage of the weekend to race in the Wintergreen Hillclimb TT, where they took a convincing 1-2 with Chris on the top step.
Last week was a return to the Bear Mountain Spring Classic in New York (also the NY State RR championships this year). This is a near legendary race course which has been used multiple times for the US National Championships. The guys faced temperatures near 90 and a very strong field but rose to the occasion with Andy taking 9th place behind winner Scott Zwizanski of Optum Pro Cycling."
Great job guys!!
