Congratulations to Direct Relief! Award for Social Entrepreneurship

We have some exciting news to share from Direct Relief.

Last week at the Beverly Hilton, Ernst & Young hosted its regional Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards ceremony, spotlighting leaders from more than 145 cities in 60 countries globally who have disrupted industries, created new product categories, and applied innovation and technology to traditional industries.

There were eight award categories in all, and the Award for Social Entrepreneurship went to Direct Relief!

Thomas Tighe, President and CEO, accepted the award before a crowd of nearly 700 people.

“If we can solve for non-consumers, who don’t have money, in the same effective way we solve for people with the ability to pay, a lot of the issues which have been vexing for decades will get much smaller,” he said.
